Yan-Ping Wang is the Founder and CEO of iDRC (Intelligence Driven Controls), focusing on providing Teramesh, a wireless building automation system leveraging state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) technology to reduce building HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) energy by up to 50% and increase HVAC management efficiency by 10x. Prior to founding iDRC, Yan-Ping worked for 4 years leading the Smart Buildings and BIM research team at Disney Research China, and for 2 years as a strategic BIM consultant. Yan-Ping graduated with a Masters of Architecture from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley with a focus on building technology. He is also a PhD Candidate at the Civil and Environmental Engineering department at Stanford University with a focus on sustainable design and construction.
